Abstract:

In this study, the influence of the Parental-Supported Reading Intervention Program on the students’ fluent reading and understanding skills. The research was carried out in the framework of unselectable patterns with pre-test-sontest control group from real experimental patterns. The study group was formed by 16 students, including 8 experimental groups, 8 control groups, from the second-class level of primary school. In the determination of the work group, measurement sampling and simple non-selective sampling methods were used. The research has used program-based measurement, error analysis inventory, pro-sized reading scale, and the understanding of reading as the data collection tools. In the study, from nonparametric tests to pre-test-sontest comparison of two independent groups, the Mann Whitney U test was used to compare pre-test-sontest points of dependent groups with the Wilcoxon Signed sequence test. The study found that the applied program was effective in developing students’ fluent reading and understanding skills.
