and II. After the legitimacy, Salah Cimcoz, Hussein Suad and Cenab Shahabeddin took action in order to obtain the right to extract brom mines from the waters of Bahr-i Lût. The first requests were not found appropriate after the examination. After they objected to the decision in January 1911, they obtained the privilege. The following process was not easy for the owners. In 1911, when the opposition was very vibrant, especially in the opposition press, the privileged owners were constantly criticized by associating with the Alliance and the Terakki. They did not succeed in selling or operating the privilege to a foreign capital group, and the privilege was eventually dissolved in 1915. After the end of the Turkish domination on the territory of Palestine, the process became even more complicated. In 1925 the privilege was returned again to Salah Cimcoz and his friends, while they were able to sell the privilege. However, the issue has become a dispute that extends between the French majority group and the competing British company that has benefited them until it becomes a court. This study is aimed at monitoring the privilege process of the brom mining that has not previously been addressed. The Brom mining privilege has a different place in terms of being constantly discussed. We also found it appropriate for the processes of discussion. Our work is mainly based on the archive documents of the Ottoman and Republic period, the news published on the process in the domestic and foreign newspapers. It has also been used by official publications and research works on the subject.
