Abstract:

In our forests governed by the state, a variety of silvicultural practices are carried out in order to be able to do sustainable management and wood production. Forests provide a variety of functions not only for the production of wood, but also for wildlife habitat. The silvicultural interventions affect wildlife. Therefore, it is necessary to know the effects of forestry activities carried out to protect wildlife in natural areas. This study was done to determine the effects of trees in the Glyaka cave forests in the tree age on wildlife. The work was carried out in the tree age (KnGncd3). Large cushion breasts in the area were observed by photocapes for 3 periods (before the production of wood, during operating activities and after production). In these periods, the number of species of wild animals in the mountains and the use rate of the area have been determined to be reduced. Furthermore, the structural changes in the habitat of the maintenance work have reduced the number of trees in a hectare and the coverage, the average tree diameter has increased. The structural changes that occurred in the shell generally reduced the area use of destroyer species, while Karacan made more area use. It is recommended to take care of wild animals to ensure continuity in the forest operations.
