Ortaokul Öğrencilerinin Fen Bilimleri Dersine Yönelik Öz-Yeterlik ve Girişimcilik Düzeylerinin Demografik Faktörler Açısından İncelenmesi

Abstract:

Bu çalışmanın amacı, ortaokul 6, 7 ve 8. sınıf seviyesinde öğrenimini sürdüren öğrencilerin fen bilimleri dersine yönelik öz-yeterlik ve fen tabanlı girişimcilik düzeylerinin cinsiyet ve ebeveynlerinin eğitim düzeyleri açısından değişip değişmediğini tespit etmektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda nicel araştırma yaklaşımlarından tarama yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada uygun örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmış ve çalışmanın örneklemini Erzurum ili Yakutiye ve Palandöken ilçesine bağlı ortaokullarda öğrenim gören 216 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada veri toplama aracı olarak demografik bilgi anketi, Ortaokul Öğrencilerine Yönelik Fen Tabanlı Girişimcilik Ölçeği ve Fen Öğrenmeye Yönelik Öz-yeterlik Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Sonuç olarak öğrencilerin fen öğrenmeye yönelik öz-yeterlik ve fen tabanlı girişimcilik düzeyleri cinsiyet faktörü açısından anlamlı fark oluşturmazken ebeveynlerin eğitim düzeyleri açısından anlamlı bir fark oluşturmaktadır. Anne ve babaların eğitim düzeyleri arttıkça çocuklarının fen öğrenmeye yönelik ve fen tabanlı girişimcilik puanları artmaktadır. Son olarak öğrencilerin fen öğrenmeye yönelik öz-yeterlikleri ile fen tabanlı girişimcilikleri arasında pozitif yönde güçlü bir korelasyon bulunmaktadır.

Abstract:

The aim of this study is to determine whether the levels of self-efficiency and science-based entrepreneurship for the science course of middle school students in 6th, 7th and 8th grade change in terms of gender and educational level of their parents. For this purpose, among quantitative research approaches, descriptive method was used in study. The sample of the study consisted of 216 students enrolling middle schools in Yakutiye and Palandoken district of Erzurum province. The convenience sampling method was used in the study. As data collection tools, The Demographic Information Survey, Science Based Entrepreneurial Scale for Middle School Students and Self-Efficacy Scale for Science Learning were used. As a result, self-efficiency and science-based entrepreneurship levels of students do not make a significant difference in terms of gender, while they make a significant difference in terms of parents' educational level. As parents’ education levels increase, their children’s self-efficacy for science and science-based entrepreneurial scores are increasing. Finally, there is a strong positive correlation between students' self-efficacy for science learning and science-based entrepreneurial.
