Abstract:

In the world of today, where technology develops and the needs are constantly changing, the importance of logistics activities is increasing. The fact that suppliers and consumers are in very different locations in the globalized world offers an important market in the logistics field in terms of providing the world trade flow. Turkey is an important trade stop in its position. Therefore, the development and expansion of the logistics activities will make a significant contribution to the country’s economy. Logistics villages focused on strategic locations on Turkey also accelerate regional development. This study, with the help of the SWOT analysis, identified the strong and weak sides of the logistics villages and the opportunities-threats they are in. The research findings show that investing incentives to strengthen the substructure and increase the number of logistics villages will have a significant contribution to regional development.
