Tarihsel bir perspektiften ele alındığında pandemi sonrası insan yaşamı geri dönülemez değişim ve dönüşümlere gebe kalmıştır. Bu dönüşüm sürecine en anlamlı örneklerden biri de Wuhan’da 2019 yılının sonunda ortaya çıkarak yaşamlarımıza dahil olan yeni bir tip koronavirüstür. Tüm dünyaya dalga dalga yayılan virüsün Dünya Sağlık Örgütü tarafından küresel salgın olarak ilan edilmesi ile de sosyal yaşamda köklü değişiklikler meydana gelmiştir. (WHO, 2020) Sosyal yaşamın en önemli dinamiklerinden biri olan eğitim de bu süreçten direkt olarak etkilenmiş ve çevrimiçi kavramı ile öğrenci ve eğitmenler için bambaşka bir süreç başlamıştır. (UNESCO, 2020). Bu araştırmada Covid-19 pandemi sürecinde yüz yüze eğitime geçen İngilizce ve Türkçe öğretmen adaylarının pandemi koşulları sebebi ile yaşadığı eğitimsel ve psikolojik zorlukların nitel araştırma yöntemi ile incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Türkiye’nin batısında yer alan bir devlet üniversitesinde gerçekleştirilen çalışmada anlatı hikayesi deseni ile toplanan verilerin analiz sonucu göstermiştir ki araştırmanın çalışma gurubunu oluşturan 2. sınıf Türkçe ve İngilizce öğretmen adayları pandeminin eğitim ve psikolojik yaşamlarına etkileri konusunda benzer zorlukların altını çizmiştir. Çalışmanın ilk boyutu pandeminin öğretmen adaylarının psikolojik yaşamları üzerindeki etkileri iken çalışmanın ikinci boyutu eğitim yaşamları üzerindeki etkileridir. Psikolojik boyut; tükenmişlik hissi ana teması altında toplanırken kendini çöp gibi hissetme, kaygı bozukluğu ve yalnızlık hissi alt temaları çerçevesinde yapılandırılmıştır. Pandeminin eğitim boyutu ise çevrimiçi ve yüz yüze eğitim ana temaları çerçevesinde incelenmiş ve altı farklı alt tema olarak şekillenmiştir. Üç ana tema ve dokuz alt tema altında toplanan bulgular göstermektedir ki Covid-19 sürecinde her iki öğretmen adayı grup da psikolojik açıdan ciddi yıkımlar deneyimlemiş fakat yüz yüze eğitime geçiş ile yaşanan zorluklar olumlu bir gidişata evirilmiştir.
From a historical perspective, human life after the pandemic has become incurred in irreversible changes and transformations. One of the most meaningful examples of this transformation process is a new type of coronavirus that appears in Wuhan at the end of 2019. With the worldwide wave wave virus declared a global epidemic, there have been radical changes in social life. (WHO, 2020) Education, one of the most important dynamics of social life, has also been directly influenced by this process and has begun a different process for students and teachers with its online concept. (United States of America, 2020) This study aims to study the educational and psychological difficulties in which candidates for English and Turkish teachers who have been faced-to-face training during the Covid-19 pandemic process are caused by the pandemic conditions. The results of the analysis of the data collected in a study conducted at a state university in the west of Turkey with the story story design showed that the 2nd-class Turkish and English teachers candidates, which form the study group, have drawn up similar challenges in the impact of the pandemic on the educational and psychological lives. The first dimension of the study is the impact of pandemic on the psychological lives of the teacher candidates, while the second dimension of the study is the impact on the educational lives. The psychological dimension is structured in the framework of the sub-themes of feeling like waste, anxiety disorder, and the feeling of loneliness, while the feeling of exhaust is gathered under the main theme. The educational dimension of the pandemic has been studied in the framework of the main topics of online and face-to-face education and has been formed as six different sub-themes. The findings gathered under three main themes and nine sub themes show that in the Covid-19 process, both teachers and the group of candidates experienced serious psychological destruction, but the difficulties of the transition to face-to-face education have been addressed to a positive progress.

With the declaration of the virus as a global epidemic by the World Health Organization, radical changes have occurred in social life (WHO, 2020). Education has also been directly affected by this process and a completely different period has begun for students and trainers with the concept of online education (UNESCO, 2020). In this qualitative study, it was aimed to examine the educational and psychological difficulties experienced by pre-service English and Turkish teachers, who switched to face-to-face education during the Covid-19 pandemic process. The results of the analysis of the data collected with the narrative story framework in a study carried out in a state university located in Western Turkey showed that the 2nd grade pre-service English and Turkish teachers underlined similar difficulties regarding the effects of the pandemic on their educational and psychological lives. While the first dimension of the study is the effects of the pandemic on the psychological lives of pre-service teachers, the second dimension of the study is the effects on their educational life. In psychological dimension, the feeling of burnout was gathered as the main theme and it was structured under the sub-themes of feeling like garbage, anxiety disorder and feeling of loneliness. The educational dimension was examined within the framework of the main themes of online and face-to-face education, and it was structured under six different sub-themes. The findings gathered under three main themes and nine sub-themes showed that both pre-service teachers experienced serious psychological destruction during the Covid-19 pandemic process, but the difficulties experienced with the transition to face-to-face education turned into a positive trend.
