Although Karacahisar Castle is a subject of numerous publications due to its importance in the establishment process, the history of the castle is extremely limited. The main reason for this situation is that the period sources that provide information about the castle are too little to be destroyed. In this regard, along with the other findings found in the archaeological excavations in the castle, the cycles are also quite important. The subject of this study is the Byzantine and European cycles found in the archaeological studies carried out between 2011-2014 and 2019-2021 in Karacahisar Castle (Eskişehir). In Karacahisar eruptions were found 7 Byzantine shakes, 4 Midilli Lordhood and 1 Eflak Beyliği shakes and 2 Nuremberg jetons. The work on the Byzantine, Midilli-Gattilusio Lordhood and Eflak Beehood cycles and Nuremberg jetons found in Karacahisar Castle excavations was not only given catalogue information but also evaluated by addressing historical contexts. Among the examples, the Byzantine cycles pointed to a Byzantine staircase in the castle with cuts from the 7th century to the end of the 11th century. The role of Karacahisar in the historical process of Eskişehir, which is also within the castle before and after the mentioned dates, is again among the topics discussed in this work.
