Abstract:

In this study, the farmer’s viewpoint to the agricultural sector, the value they give to the agriculture and their land, the level of knowledge and awareness about the agricultural sector they are in production and they provide survival, and the importance they give to the sustainability of the agriculture. The farmers’ production activities, the use of grants, the status of membership in cooperatives or unions have also been examined. In the framework of the research, the surveys conducted by discussing 71 producers from Tokat or central district villages formed the main material of this study.  The results of the survey were examined and tables containing frequency and percentage were prepared and tried to be interpreted. According to the research results, the percentage of farmers who pay attention to the irreversible formation of agriculture and the integrity of land is heavy. Furthermore, considering the importance of the agricultural sector and the existing agricultural land existence, farmers who do not see any disadvantage in their land unagricultural use and indicate that they are likely to give up their land in a circumstance have a disadvantage rate.
