The demand for electricity in the developing world is increasing every day. Electricity production units using fossil fuels lead to environmental pollution. Therefore, environmental pollution should also be taken into account while solving optimal power distribution problems. Such environmental pollution issues are called environmental economic power distribution problems. In this study, the multi-purpose environmental economic power distribution problem has been converted into a single-purpose optimization problem using the conic scalation method (KSM). A genetic algorithm (GA) method has been used to solve the scaled problem. The examples addressed for the application are lost power systems consisting of production units with conventional and non-conventional particle fuel cost functions. The best solution values of the total fuel cost and total NOx emission values for different weight values (Pareto optimal values) were obtained in examples and the results were discussed.
