Eğitim sisteminde ve yapılan faaliyetlerin kalitesini ortaya koyan unsurların en başında öğretmenler gelmektedir. Dolayısıyla öğretmenlik mesleği bir ülkenin gelişmesi ve kalkınması açısından en önemli mesleklerden birisidir. Bu bağlamda öğretmenlik mesleği ile ilgili olarak öğretmen adaylarının tutumları ve bakış açıları oldukça önemlidir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, öğretmenlik mesleği ile ilgili olarak beden eğitimi öğretmeni adaylarının görüşlerini ortaya koymaktır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen açık uçlu sorular beden eğitimi öğretmeni adaylarına uygulanmıştır. Araştırma da nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden mülakat yöntemi kullanılarak, Gaziantep Üniversitesi Spor Bilimleri Fakültesinde öğrenim gören 20 beden eğitimi öğretmeni adayından elde edilen veriler, içerik analizi yöntemi ile çözümlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak, beden eğitimi öğretmeni adayları, öğretmenlik mesleğinin; kutsal ve saygın bir meslek olduğunu belirtmişlerdir. Araştırmaya katılan öğretmen adaylarının öğretmenlik mesleğini seçmelerinde genel anlamda beden eğitimi öğretmenlerinin ve ailelerinin teşvik etmeleri ile tercih ettikleri gözlemlenmiştir. Ancak, öğretmen adayları atanamama kaygısı içerisinde olduklarını ifade etmişlerdir. Ayrıca araştırma ya katılan öğretmen adayları; öğretmenlerin mesleğinde bilgili olması gerektiği, öğrenciyi sevmesi ve mesleğine önem vermesi gerektiği ifade edilirken, öğretmen adaylarının aynı zaman da iyi bir öğretmen olmak ve topluma yol gösteren bir kişi olmak istedikleri tespit edilmiştir. Genel anlamda öğretmen adaylarının öğretmenlik mesleği ile ilgili görüşlerinin pozitif olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
In the educational system and the elements that show the quality of the activities performed, teachers come at the beginning. Therefore, teaching profession is one of the most important professions in terms of development and development of a country. In this context, the attitudes and perspectives of the teacher candidates in relation to the teaching profession are very important. The aim of this study is to show the views of the body education teachers candidates in relation to the teaching profession. Open-end questions developed by the researcher as a data collection tool in the research were applied to the body education teacher candidates. The research has also used the method of interviewing the qualitative research methods, the data obtained from the candidate of 20 body education teachers who studied at the Faculty of Sports Sciences of Gaziantep University, has been analyzed by the method of content analysis. As a result, body education teachers candidates have pointed out that the teaching profession is a sacred and respected profession. The study found that the teachers candidates who participated in the study were preferred by encouraging their teachers and their families to teach their profession in general. However, the teachers said they were worried of not being appointed. The research has also found that the teachers candidates who participate in the study; teachers should be aware of the profession, love the student and pay attention to the profession, while teachers candidates want to be a good teacher and a person who leads to society. In general, the conclusion is that the teachers' candidates' opinions about the teaching profession are positive.
