Abstract:

Introduction: This study was conducted as a cross-sectional study to examine the health practices of pregnant women and their affecting factors. Materials-methods: The population of the study consisted of pregnant women registered in 21 family health centers in Sivas city center, the study was completed with 335 pregnant women. The data of the study were collected with Personal Information Form, Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support , Risk Assessment Form and Health Practices Questionnaire in Pregnancy-II. Results: The mean score of the pregnant women's health practices during pregnancy scale was 121.57±10.53, and it was determined that the education, employment status, income, kinship status with the spouse, gestational week, risk status during pregnancy and the desire for pregnancy were the variables affecting the mean score (p. ˂0.05). It was determined that there was a positive and significant relationship between the perceived social support of women and the mean score of health practices (p<0.05). Conclusion: Educational status, employment status, longest place of residence, kinship status with their spouses, income status, gestational week, desired pregnancy status, risk related to obstetric history, risk status according to current pregnancy characteristics, total risk status. It was determined that perceived social support variables affect the GHQ score.
