Abstract:

This study aims to study the views and attitudes of parents who go to the child’s primary school towards raising the child. The work group was composed of 192 parents, including 96 mothers and 96 fathers who continued the child's primary school. The data collection was developed by Özyürek (2017) on the Maternity and Parental Opinion Scale, "The Maternity and Parental Attitude Scale and the Maternity and Parental Attitude Scale B Forms were used. The analysis of the data has been used by the one-way variance analysis and the Pearson Correlation ratio. As a result, there was a significant difference between the age of the parents and their views on the raising of the child, between the age of the parents and their excessive tolerant attitudes. Between the mother and father’s educational status and their views on the education of the child, there was a significant difference between the parents’ educational status and the attitudes of the child’s education. It has been determined that the opinions of the parents in the professional group are more positive about raising children, and that the excessive tolerance of the working fathers is higher. In general, he noted that parents and fathers support each other with their opinions on their own attitudes to raise children. However, when mothers consider themselves a democratic attitude towards their children, it is found that their spouses are not in the same view.
