Purpose: The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of treatment in patients with iron deficiency anemia (DEA) on the levels of ghrelin and nesphatin-1 with oxidative stress. Tools and Methods: 30 healthy individuals with 30 cases diagnosed and diagnosed in the Clinic of Internal Diseases were included in the work as a control group. Examples were taken from DEA patients before and after 3 months of treatment. The differences between serum malondaldehyde (MDA), total antioxidant capacity (TAK), grelin and nesphatin-1 levels were analyzed between three groups. Results: In pre-treatment DEA patients, the levels of serum MDA and nesphatin-1 were statistically higher compared to the control group, while the levels of TAK and ghrelin were significantly lower (p<0.05). After the treatment of iron deficiency, it is measured that in patients with DEA, the oxidative stress indicator of iron reduces the levels of MDA and statistically significantly increases the levels of TAK (p<0.05). Ghrelin increases its levels, while nesphatin-1 reduces its levels to remain high according to the control group (p<0.05). The result: Serum ghrelin and nesphatin-1 levels are increased in patients with DEA with iron treatment. Iron therapy induces the synthesis of grelin and nesphatin-1 in the human body and thus causes increased appetite and nutritional intake.
