Abstract:

The latest research on religious education shows that students want to live peacefully together around differences and believe that this can be possible. Such a peaceful coexistence depends on the knowledge of the common values shared with the religious and world view of others. Students who learn about religious diversity in schools have found themselves more volunteer to talk about religion and beliefs with students of other origins than those who do not know about diversity. If we have to discover the encounter and what it means, we must explore the understanding of its relationships, joint work and intersection points, along with the wealth, fulfillment and complex form that exists within the encounter itself. It is the teacher’s duty to think about the encounter as a daily life experience, to reveal the existencial wisdom in the depths of religious traditions, and to turn it into a pedagogy based on the common responsibility to God and the creation.
