References in many bibliographies are sometimes referred to as "Surname, I", so the citations of academics whose Surname and initials are the same may occasionally interfere. This problem is often the case with citation indexes all over the world.

Abstract:

Renal arteries, originates from the abdominal aorta at the level of L1-2, feed the kidneys. These vessels usually originate from aorta, just below the inception of the superior mesenteric artery. Each kidney usually has only one renal artery in human body, however, it has been reported that double (%10-%12), triple (%1) and very uncommonly 4 or 5 pieces arteries might also be seen. In this study, we retrospectively examined the anatomy of the renal arteries of 105 patients (77 male 28 female), registered to Erciyes University Medical Faculty Hospital due to various health problems and were performed angiography and computerized tomography. It was determined that each kidney had one renal artery in 85 (81%) of 105 patients and had double renal arteries in 20 cases. It has not been determined any triple or more renal arteries. Our study findings that show that origins of renal arteries commonly occur between the vertebral columns of L1-L2 on the right side 56 (53.3%) and on the left side 52 (49.5%) are concordant with the findings of previous studies. The transplantation of the kidney with single renal artery has lower risk of complication and kidney lost compared to transplantation of the kidney with more than a single artery. Thus, we aimed to study the numeral variations of the renal artery due to the importance of this subject. We believe that the result of this study might be useful for the kidney surgery
