Abstract:

The subject of the study is to identify historic houses built in the center of the province of Konya in the late 19th and early 20th centuries; the front elements that have traditional and European architectural effects. The processes revealed by cultural, technological, economic and political factors that began to occur during this period have influenced people, living environments, houses. The socio-cultural and economic conditions of the household owners have also influenced the formation of houses. The research is based on archive, literature and land studies. Rolls, plans, cuts, appearance, paintings and photos are materials that contribute to the understanding of houses. In this study, the characteristics of the historic houses located in the center of Konya, the front characteristics and the composition of the iron fingers, the decoration styles were determined. The front elements in the Konya houses are described under the headings of the front elements, roofs, roofs, outputs, windows, doors. Iron fingers; materials and techniques, composition, motives are presented with subtitles.
