Tarihin başlangıcından bu yana insanlar, toplumu ve gelecek nesilleri yetiştirmek, onları iyi ve doğru olana yönlendirmek, mutlu, huzurlu bir şekilde yaşamanın yollarını göstermek için onlara çeşitli tavsiyelerde bulunmuşlardır. Hemen her toplumda ve millette benzer şekilde deneyimlenen bu süreç, edebiyatın eğitimde kullanılmasıyla birlikte devam etmiştir. Dîvân edebiyatı geleneğinde ne söylenildiğinden çok nasıl söylenildiği önemli iken bu anlayışın dışında kaleme alınan bir tür olan nasîhat-nâmelerde ise söylenilen sözün kendisi, nasıl söylendiğinden çok daha önemlidir. Pâdişahlar, vezirler, çocuklar, gençler gibi çok farklı insan tiplerini toplumun hedef ve ideallerine uygun bir birey olarak yetiştirmek ve eğitmek için nasîhat-nâme türünde eserler kaleme alınmıştır. Kur’ân-ı Kerîm, hadîsler, atasözleri, kelâm-ı kibârlar dolaylı nasîhat içerikli ahlâkî eserler sayılmaktadır. Bu eserlerin varlığı, toplumun her alanında nasîhat anlayışının varlığının da göstergesidir. Nasîhat-nâmeler bu anlayışın edebiyata yansımış türleri olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Dîvân edebiyatı içerisinde manzûm ve mensûr olmak üzere çeşitli nazım şekilleriyle birçok nasîhat-nâme yazılmıştır. XIX. yüzyılda Mehmed Necmeddîn Efendi tarafından Türkçe olarak kaleme alınan 905 beyitlik Pend-i Necmeddîn isimli nasîhat-nâme türündeki manzûm eser, bu geleneğin son örneklerinden biridir. Nasîhat-nâme geleneğiyle ve sosyal yapıyla doğrudan alâkalı bir eser olması, aynı zamanda toplumsal değişimin takip edilmesi açısından eserde yer alan sosyal yapıya dair unsurlar ve nasîhat ögeleri son derece önemlidir. Bu çalışmada Nasîhat-nâme geleneği ve Mehmed Necmeddîn Efendi’nin hayatı hakkında Dîvân’ından ve bazı kaynaklardan hareketle bilgi verilmiştir. Çalışmaya konu olan Millî Kütüphane 06 Mil Yz A 9248 numarada kayıtlı yazma eserin 10b-39a varakları arasında yer alan mesnevî nazım şekliyle kaleme alınmış 905 beyitlik nasihât-nâmenin şekil incelemesi ve tematik analizi yapıldıktan sonra son bölümde transkripsiyonlu metni verilmiştir. Bu çalışmayla Mehmed Necmeddîn Efendi ve Türk edebiyatında daha önce incelenmemiş olan eserinin muhtevası günümüz okuyucusuna tanıtılmıştır.

In this study, the tradition of Nîîhat-Nâme and the life of Mehmed Necmeddîn the Lord were given information from Devan and some sources. In the tradition of Diwan literature, it is more important to say how it is said than what is said, but in terms of how-to-say, which is a kind written out of this understanding, the word itself is much more important than how it is said. Advicebooks were written to teach and educate many different types of people such as sultans, viziers, children and youth as an individual suitable for the goals and ideals of the society. The Quran, hadiths, proverbs, idioms are considered as moral works containing indirect advice. The existence of these works is also an indication of the opinion of advice in every area of society. Advicebooks are the types of that agreement reflected in literature. Many suggestions have been written in Diwan literature with various verse forms as poetry and prose. The verse-penned work named Pend-i Necmeddin, written in Turkish by Mehmed Necmeddin Efendi in the XIX. century is one of the last examples of that tradition. In terms of the fact that it is a work directly related to the advice tradition and the social structure, and at the same time to follow the social change, the elements of the social structure and the elements of advice are extremely important. In this study, information was given about the advicebook tradition and the life of Mehmed Necmeddin Efendi from the Diwan. After examining the shape and thematic analysis of the 905 couplet advicebook, which was written between the 10b-39a leaves of the manuscript in the National Library 06 Mil Yz A 9248, the transcription text was given in the last section. Mehmed Necmeddin Efendi and the content of his work, which has not been previously examined in Turkish literature, has been introduced to today's reader.
