Abstract:

In this study, the teachers of the fields of science (physics, chemistry, biology, science knowledge) who are working in various schools associated with the Ministry of Education and the teachers of the fields of science who are working in the Faculty of Education are aimed at examining the levels of awareness of FeTeMM (STEM) according to various variables. The study included 206 teachers in the fields of science and 191 in the fields of science, with a total of 297 candidates. The examples of the study were determined by taking into account the availability status. In the analysis of the data obtained from the study, the Mann Whitney U-test was used for non-related double sample measurements, and the Kruskal Wallis H-test for non-related multiple sample measurements. Mann Whitney U test was used to find the direction of meaning in the results of the Kruskal Wallis H-test. When the findings were studied, the FeTeMM level of awareness of the participating teacher candidates varied according to the variables of gender, class and scientific publications, but there was no meaningful difference according to the variables of loving the section he read, getting knowledge of FeTeMM, participating in scientific projects, participating in scientific meetings, the economic level and the responsibility of teaching. If you look at teachers in the participating fields of science, FeTeMM levels of awareness have seen no significant differences in variables such as the state of civilisation, the income state, the frequency of following scientific publications, the students love the lessons, feel responsibility, and feTeMM activities have changed significantly according to the conditions.
