Abstract:

Birth-marriage-death is carried out through the individual, but because of its reflection of a social sphere it takes a significant place in cultures. These rituals performed in the process from practices aimed at the beginning of the individual’s life to physical absence, have changed from yesterday to today and have continued to exist. Though it is impossible to make certain judgments about the future of culture after a point, the traditions and beliefs on the level created through rituals and social practices functionally continue with certain points even in modern societies. Even if this situation proves the existence of a number of situations that are beyond modernity in modern societies, the existence of cultural elements in this area or that it is continuing at certain points should not be considered a conscious investment in culture. Actually, many of the traditional behaviors continue today just because they are shaped. However, many practices around the transitional periods should be considered outside of this shaping; for in the transitional periods, there are many beliefs that have evolved due to the change of individual status. For example, birth is beyond being a process in which the individual and social status of the woman is changed; because it is assessed in the same line with the genetic fact, the practices in this field are based on the desire to continue the life rather than to continue a repetition. Study in this context; practices that occur around birth, in the Sinop public culture (religious-magical, public medicine, etc.) The discovery and practice of the archaeological, religious connections, the continuity of the point of questioning the purpose. In addition, the continuity provided by birth, because the land of man's permanentity on earth reveals the relationship between birth and descendance, is read as the continuity of the social structure before the continuity of the horse descendance and after it.
