Abstract:

This research, aimed to examine the reflection of university students' perfectionism personality traits and loneliness levels on social media. The sample of the research consists of a total of 544 students studying at Sivas Cumhuriyet University in the 2019-2020 academic year, different faculties and vocational schools answering the survey questions. The participants was applied to the Frost Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale (FCPMS), UCLA Loneliness Scale and Personal Information Form a questionnaire including. The data collected through the questionnaires were analyzed with the SPSS 22.0 package and the findings were revealed. Social media, which has become an integral part of human life, is widely used, especially among university students. Such widespread use also brings some effects. According to the results of the research, it has been determined that social media has an effect on the variables.
