Abstract:

The Covid-19 pandemic emerged at the end of 2019 and has affected the whole world, including Turkey, with an increasing rate of spread, and continues to have this effect in the state. With the onset of the pandemic process, managers in all countries against damage caused or may occur due to the virus; they have taken many measures in economic, political, health and social fields. The pandemic has also led to a change in the education system and has consequences that require a reassessment of the system. In this context, all formal educational institutions were closed and distance education system was switched to continue education. Intense stress and anxiety situations have arisen with the pressure of covid-19 virus at the individual and social level. In this study, it is aimed to evaluate the stress and anxiety situations experienced by students regarding distance education during the Covid 19 pandemic. The study was qualitatively designed and interviewed 14 students using snowball sampling method. The data were collected with a semi-structured interview form and subjected to content analysis. As a result of the study; due to the fact that the pandemic period is still going on in students, it has been observed that anxiety situations have occurred for the uncertainty of the re-start of face to-face education, the way exams are held, technical problems experienced during online education, understanding of subjects and their academic achievements.
