Abstract:

The current work was conducted by the research method and was conducted with 20 participants using a semi-configured interview form. In the study, the data was evaluated by content analysis. The aim of the study is to evaluate the magnetic path in Erzurum in the paranormal tourism, which is an alternative tourism variety. In the study, two themes and nine codes were identified. The first theme is the information theme that covers the level of consciousness of the participants about the magnetic path. The information theme consists of the codes of "magnetic field, deception, divine power and path structure". The second issue is tourism. The theme of tourism consists of five codes: “promotion and advertising, religious tourism, legendary tourism, architectural landscape and original value.” 18 of the participants said that the magnetic road could be used for tourism, while the two said that the road had not sufficient characteristics for tourism. Six of the participants presented a paranormal view of faith and spirituality, indicating that this is a mysterious, divine power event. Similarly, six of the participants have a paranormal view of the idea that it is a magnetic drawing center on this path. Participants pointed out that the characteristic of the nine roads could be an eye-fake. A large number of participants said that the road should be promoted. In addition, it is noted that the magnetic path can be used for tourist purposes along with faith tourism and legendary tourism.
