This study was aimed at investigating the frequency and possible causes of foot diseases in cows and goats found in small ruminant enterprises in the area of Elazığ. There were 4276 legs of different ages and weights, and 293 (6.85) of the sheep were found with foot injury. In 227 of the 293 animals diagnosed with foot disease (77.47) non-infectious nail deformation was detected. 126 of the animals examined in the pre-mera period in 1917 (6.57%) and 167 of the 2359 animals examined in the postmera period (7.08) found foot injury. As a result, it is believed that informing farmers about factors such as the physical structures of the shelters, the hygiene of the mouths, nutrition and nail care will be a serious contribution to the region's livestock.
