İşletmeler son zamanlarda hızla etkisini gösteren küreselleşme ve teknolojik gelişmeler sebebiyle işletme bünyesinde çeşitli yöntemler ve yenilikler geliştirmektedir. Ülkeler arasındaki ekonomik, siyasi, sosyal ilişkilerin gelişmesi ve yaygınlaşması, bilgi akışının teknolojiyle birlikte daha hızlı bir şekilde sağlanması, çok uluslu şirketlerin dünya ekonomisinde yer edinmesi ve finans piyasalarının yerel sınırları aşıp uluslararası hale gelmesi, küreselleşmenin ve bunun dâhilinde teknolojik gelişmelerin bir sonucu olarak ortaya çıkmaktadır. İletişim ve ulaşım teknolojilerin gelişmesi işletmelerin yerel sınırlardan çıkıp dünya ekonomisine hizmet sunmasına olanak sağlamaktadır. Bu etkiler sebebiyle işletmeler dünya ekonomisinde yer edinmek, hizmetlerini geliştirmek ve bu rekabet ortamında kendilerini muhafaza etmek için inovasyona önem vermek durumundadırlar. Bu çalışmada, inovatif çalışmaların işletme performansına etkileri analiz edilerek bir değerlendirme yapılması hedeflenmiştir. Bu nedenle İzmir’de bulunan gıda sektörü üzerine makine imalatı yapan DAMS Makine işletmesinde inovasyon yönetimi ve işletme performansı üzerine anket çalışması yapılmıştır. Bu projede, DAMS Makine işletmesinde yönetim pozisyonunda çalışan 9 kişiye anket uygulaması yapılmıştır. Analizler sonucunda inovasyon yönetiminin işletmenin performansına etki gösterdiği saptanmıştır.

Companies are developing various methods and innovations within the company due to the globalization and technological developments that have been affecting rapidly recently. Developing and expanding economic, political and social relations between countries, providing information flow more rapidly with technology, the inclusion of multinational companies in the world economy, and the financial markets crossing local borders and becoming international issues are being emerged as a result of globalization and technological developments. Advancements in communication and transportation technologies allow businesses to access the local borders and to serve the world economy. Due to these effects, companies have to pay attention to innovation in order to secure a place in the world economy, which also have to improve their services and maintain themselves in this competitive world. In this study, it is aimed to analyse and evaluate the effects of innovative works on the company performance. For this reason, a survey was conducted on innovation management and operational performance in DAMS Machinery, which manufactures machinery on the food sector in İzmir. In this project, a questionnaire was applied to 9 people working in management position in DAMS Machinery. As a result of the analysis, it has been found that innovation management has an effect on the performance of the company.
