Abstract:

While it is very important for special educational teachers who work with children with special needs, as in all professional fields, to perform their profession in accordance with the principles of professional ethics, it is also a requirement that they work with children with special needs (depending on reasons such as recognition, evaluation, intervention, decision-making on relevant services, cooperation, enjoyment of legal rights). The principles of professional ethics of private education teachers in our country have just begun to be studied. This study, which aims to support the development of professional ethical behaviors, which are also extremely important for special education teachers, aims to develop the professional ethical scale for special education teachers and specialists. In this context, under a single factor, a special education professional ethical scale, consisting of a total of 76 articles, has been developed. In this study, the scan model was used from the visual research methods. The reliability index value calculated by Cronbach Alpha for the purpose of determining the internal consistency of the matters of the Special Education Professional Ethical Scale, alpha=0.997 is calculated as very high. The analysis of the factor to determine the ratio between the variables (Barlett Test) determined that the ratio between the variables (p=0,000<0.05) was found. According to the factor analysis, the total variation of the variables was collected under the single factor, which was 85,559%. The special education professional ethical scale developed within this study shows that the scale is in a single-factor structure with the equivalent numbers of the scale value. The findings obtained in this context indicate that the Special Education Professional Ethical Scale is a valid and reliable tool.
