Abstract:

In 2011 at the Hannover exhibition, Germany presented the Industry 4.0 process at the heart of smart machines and manufacturing mechanisms. With this process, Taylorism, also known as "Scientific Management", adapted to the present day, "Digital Taylorism" has emerged in the modern management style. The technological developments such as the Internet of the objects allegedly caused by the Fourth Industrial Revolution, cyber-physical systems, big data analytics, learning systems, cloud computing, enhanced reality, cyber security are one of the expected and remarkable outcomes of Industry 4.0, which will lead to a major change not only in terms of production costs, but also in terms of the nature of the human resource to be produced. With the digitalization of the production chain and ensuring the machine-man-support interaction, the development of ‘smart production systems’ is expected to lead to a paradigm change in the industry. In this process, the "Digital Taylorism" or "New Taylorism" management style, which represents the adaptation of the Scientific Approach, also expressed as Taylorism, has begun to be discussed. Industry 4.0, which is also focused on the subtitles and dimensions of man, production and economy, will require the development of new management concepts such as Digital Taylorism, and will plan the planning of the future of mankind, which is inevitable to be influenced by the process and consumer, to be properly reviewed.
