Mısır ve Türkiye ortak geçmişe sahip Doğu Akdeniz ülkeleridir. Son dönemde iki ülke arasında politik anlamda yaşanan gerginliklerin neticesinde hassas bir dönemece girilmiş ve ilişkiler neredeyse kopma noktasına gelmiştir. Bugün özellikle Doğu Akdeniz’in kazandığı önemin bir getirisi olarak bölge ülkeleri arasında meydana gelen restleşmelerden Türkiye ve Mısır’da paylarına düşen gerilimli havanın etkisiyle, aslında ulusal çıkarlarına uymayacak adımlar atmak durumunda kalmışlardır. Bu çalışma ile amaçlanan; Mısır ve Türkiye arasındaki son on yıllık dönemdeki siyasi ve ekonomik ilişkilerin incelenmesi ve gerçekleşebilecek olası bir işbirliği durumunda, bu işbirliğinin ülkelere sağlayacağı avantajların neler olabileceğine değinilmesidir.
Egypt and Turkey are countries of the Eastern Mediterranean with a common history. During the past period, the political tensions between the two countries have led to a sensitive period and the relations have almost come to a breakdown. Today, especially as a return of the importance that the Eastern Mediterranean has gained, they have to take steps that are not in accordance with their national interests, with the influence of the tensions that fall into their shares in Turkey and Egypt from the disturbances between the region countries. The aim of this study is to examine the political and economic relations between Egypt and Turkey in the last decade and, in the event of a possible cooperation, to point out what the benefits that this cooperation can be given to the countries.
Egypt and Turkey are two Eastern Mediterranean countries with a common history. As a result of the political tensions between the two countries recently, a sensitive turn has been entered and relations have almost come to the breaking point. Today, especially as a result of the importance of the Eastern Mediterranean, Turkey and Egypt have had to take steps that will not comply with their national interests, because of the tension between the region countries. The aim of this study is to examine the political and economic relations between Egypt and Turkey in the last decennial period and to examine what the advantages that this cooperation will provide to countries in the event of possible cooperation.
