Abstract:

The Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs, from the United Nations, are a universal call to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030. The 17 SDGs are integrated, as they recognize that interventions in one area will affect the results of others and that development must balance environmental, economic and social sustainability. The research worked from the academic offerings of the Technological Units of Santander, a Higher Education Institution in Colombia, to recognize the structural aspects from the programs offered for the training of professionals including guidelines that coincide with the SDGs. The training structure of the academic programs was reviewed and the SDGs were directly related to them. The institution offers academic programs relevant to the needs of Colombian society, it is recognized for the quality of its graduates and the identification of its relationship with the SDGs visualized the successful contributions made, which allows interpreting that the professionals graduated from this Colombian HEI have a vision of the future that is articulated with international guidelines and in their performance they will surely contribute to the sustainable construction of well-being.
