The aim of this study is to determine the effect of process-based listening education on the listening skills of fifth grade students. In the research carried out with the quantitative method, pretest-posttest, quasi-experimental method with paired control group was used. The study group of the research consisted of 5th grade students in two different public schools in Aksaray in the spring semester of the 2021-2022 academic year. The selection of the experimental and control groups was carried out by a random method. While activities were carried out in line with the process-based listening training for 6 weeks with the students in the experimental group, the students in the control group continued their regular lessons. “Listening Comprehension Achievement Test” and “Listening/Watch Strategies Usage Frequency Scale” were used as data collection tools. SPSS 20.0 package program was used in data analysis. Statistical analyzes were conducted to determine whether there was a significant difference between the scores of the groups in the pre-test and post-test. From the findings of the research, it was concluded that the process-based listening education improved the fifth grade students' listening/watching strategies use levels and their listening comprehension skills.
