Bu araştırmanın amacı bilim ve sanat merkezinde (BİLSEM) öğrenim gören özel yetenekli öğrenci ebeveynlerinin BİLSEM eğitim programına beden eğitimi ve spor etkinliklerinin dâhil edilmesine yönelik görüşlerini saptamaktır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yaklaşımı ve durum çalışması deseni kullanılmıştır. Kolay ulaşılabilir örneklemle yapılan araştırmada 17 gönüllü ebeveynle görüşülmüştür. Yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniğiyle toplanan veriler içerik analizi yöntemiyle analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmada ebeveynlerin spor yaşantılarına ve çocuklarının beden eğitimi ve spor etkinliklerine olan ihtiyaçlarına, spor yaşantılarının önündeki engellere, sporun özel yetenekli çocuklara katkılarına, spor yeteneklerinin tespit edilmesine, spora yönlendirilmesine ve meslek olarak spor algısına ilişkin ebeveyn görüşlerine yer verilmiştir. Ayrıca BİLSEM eğitim programına beden eğitimi ve spor etkinliklerinin faaliyet, kurs, etkinlik ve atölye çalışmaları olarak dâhil edilmesine yönelik ebeveyn görüşleri ortaya konulmuştur. BİLSEM’lerin tesis, malzeme vb. imkânlarına yönelik ebeveyn görüşlerine de bulgular arasında yer verilmiştir. Sonuç olarak ebeveyn görüşlerine göre BİLSEM programlarına beden eğitimi ve spor etkinliklerinin dâhil edilmesi yönünde ihtiyacın olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
The purpose of this research is to identify the views of the parents of special skilled students studying at the Science and Arts Center (BILSEM) on the inclusion of body education and sports activities in the BILSEM training program. In the research, the quality research approach and the situation study design were used. The study, which was made with easy-to-access sample, examined 17 volunteers. The data collected using the semi-configured interview technique was analyzed by the content analysis method. The study included the parents' needs to the sports life and their children's physical education and sports activities, the obstacles to their sports life, the contribution of sport to special talented children, the identification of their sports abilities, the orientation to the sport and the parents' opinions on sports as a profession. Parental opinions on the inclusion of body education and sports activities as activities, courses, events and workshops have also been presented in the BILSEM training program. The materials, the materials, etc. Parents have the possibility of their opinions. As a result, according to the parents’ opinions, it has been established that it is necessary to include physical training and sports activities in the BILSEM programs.
The aim of this study is to determine the opinions of the parents of gifted students attending science and art centers (SAC) about the inclusion of physical education and sports activities in the education program of SAC. Qualitative research approach and case study pattern was used in the research. In the study conducted via easily accessible sampling method, 17 voluntary parents whose students were receiving education in SACs were interviewed. Data collected through semi-structured interview technique were analyzed through content analysis. This study addressed the opinions of parents regarding the sports activities performed by parents, needs of children for physical education and sports activities, hindrances to their sports activities, contributions of physical education and sports activities to the gifted children, identification of sports-related skills of these children, orientation of the children to sports and perception of sports as a profession. Also, opinions of parents concerning the physical education and sports activities, courses, works and ateliers, which were already being conducted and were needed in SACs and opportunities of SACs in terms of facilities and materials etc. were included among the findings of this study. As conclusion, opinions of parents showed that physical education and sports activities should be included in the curriculum of SAC.
