İnsanların hayatlarında büyük bir rol oynayan aile kurumu yapısal özellikleri, işlevleri ve içinde bulundurduğu ilişkiler dâhil birçok konu açısından farklı yaklaşımlar tarafından yıllar boyunca incelenmiştir. Bu araştırmalar aile kurumunu incelemeye çalışmakta ve araştırmalar sonucu elde edilen bulgular uygulamalı alanlarda kullanılmaktadır. Aile danışmanlığı ve eğitimi de bu alanlardan birisidir. Ülkemizde aile kavramına verilen değer azımsanamayacak kadar çoktur. Bu çalışma, bu denli değerli ve önemli görülen aile kurumunun eğitimi hakkında akademik alanda ne tür çalışmalar yapılıyor, nelere ihtiyacımız var ve daha birçok soruya cevap aramış olan lisansüstü tezlerin sistematik bir özetini oluşturuyor. Çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye’de aile eğitimi alanında yazılmış olan lisansüstü tezlerin incelenmesidir. Yüksek Öğretim Kurulu Tez Merkezi veri tabanında yapılan tarama sonucunda aile eğitimi ile ilgili yazılmış toplam 28 adet tez olduğu görülmüştür. Etik kurallar gereği izinli olmayan 5 adet tez çalışmaya dâhil edilmemiş ve izinli olan toplam 23 tez ile çalışma sürdürülmüştür. Bu tezlerden 20 tanesinin yüksek lisans seviyesinde, 6 tanesinin doktora seviyesinde ve 2 tanesinin ise tıpta uzmanlık seviyesinde yazıldığı görülmüştür. Tezlerin hepsi Türkçe dilinde yayımlanmışlardır. Nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden biri olan içerik analizi yöntemiyle hazırlanan bu çalışmada 1998 – 2019 yılları arası yazılan tezler çeşitli kriterlere göre gruplandırılmış ve analiz edilmiştir. Yapılan analizler sonucu en çok lisansüstü tezin eğitim bilimleri enstitüsünde hazırlandığı, cinsiyet dağılımına bakıldığında en çok kadın yazarların bu konuda tez yayımladığı, tezlerin ağırlıklı olarak doçent doktor unvanına sahip bilim insanları danışmanlığında hazırlandığı, tezlerin en çok Eskişehir ve Ankara illerindeki üniversitelerde okuyan öğrenciler tarafından yazıldığı ve tezlerin en çok özel eğitim ana bilimdalında gerçekleştiği görülmüştür. Ayrıca kaynakçalar incelendiğinde Türkçe, İngilizce ve Almanca kaynaklardan yararlanıldığı analiz edilmiştir. Aile danışmanlığı ve eğitiminin ülkemizde henüz 40 yıllık bir geçmişe sahip olması sebebiyle yapılan çalışmaların günümüze kadar en çok problem yaşanan alanlarda olduğu görülmüştür. Ancak son dönemlerde aile kavramının değişmeye başlaması ve yeni aile türlerinin oluşmaya başlamasıyla birlikte bu ailelere gereken desteği sağlamak ve yardım etmek amacıyla üniversitelerde ders olarak açılması hatta bazı üniversitelerde yüksek lisans programı olarak okutulması alanın daha sistemli ve bilimsel bir geleceğe sahip olduğunu gösteriyor.
The family institution, which plays a major role in people's lives, has been studied by different approaches over the years in terms of many issues, including its structural features, functions, and relationships. These studies try to examine the family institution and the findings obtained as a result of the researches are used in applied areas. Family counseling and education is one of these areas. The value given to the concept of family in our country cannot be underestimated. This study constitutes a systematic summary of the postgraduate theses that have sought answers to many questions about what kind of work is being done in the academic field, what we need, and many more questions about the education of the family institution that is considered so valuable and important. This study aimed to evaluate the postgraduate thesis written in the field of family education in Turkey. As a result of scanning the database of the Higher Education Council Thesis Center , it was seen that there were 28 theses written about family education. 5 theses that were not permitted due to ethical rules were not included in the study and the study continued with a total of 23 authorized theses. It was seen that 20 of these theses were written at the master's level, 6 at the doctoral level, and 2 at the medical specialty level. All of the thesis were published in the Turkish language. This study that was prepared with content analysis method which is one of the qualitative research procedure, the theses which were written between 1998 - 2019 years were categorized and analyzed. As a result of the analysis, most of the postgraduate theses were prepared in the institute of educational sciences, when the gender distribution was examined, mostly female authors published on this subject, the theses were mainly prepared under the consultancy of scientists with the title of associate professor, the theses were mostly written by students studying at universities in Eskişehir and Ankara and It has been observed that it mostly takes place in the department of special education. Besides, when the references are examined, it is analyzed that Turkish, English, and German sources are used. Due to the fact that family counseling and education has just a 40-year history in our country, it has been observed that the studies carried out are in the areas where the most problem has been experienced until today. However, with the change of the concept of the family recently and the emergence of new family types, it is added as a course in universities to provide the necessary support and help to these families and even being taught as a postgraduate program in some universities shows that the field has a more systematic and scientific future.
