: The fact that Holy Qur’an, which is the main source of the principes and rule of the Islamic religion, can be read with different qira’a is an ongoing phenomenon since the time of our Prophet Muhammed. While some of these qira’a is accepted as a shaz, some are accaphted as mutawatir. Some of these differen qira’a had an impact on meaning while some had no effect on meaning. Qira’at difference has been an important factor that has been taken into consideration during the establishment and development stages of basic Islamic sciences. As a result of reading the Qur’an with different qıra’ats, different interpretations, opinions and point of wiev have occured from time to time in areas such as akaid, law, transaction and worship.These different interpretations, which the commentators and the scholars to the presence of different provisions. One of the controversial issues related to worship is the ablution issue. In this article, we will try to investigate Qira’a differences which effect meanings on Qur’an in terms of ablution. Investigation done at 6. verse of surat al-Mâide in general and in particular the way Taberî handles the subject.
