Purpose: This study was conducted with the aim of detecting the nursing care of surgical patients and examining their satisfaction levels. The sample of this study in the identificative and cutting-edge type was made by 300 patients who were able to communicate between 17 December 2018 and 15 March 2019 in a university hospital’s surgical clinics, who accepted to participate in the research, aged 18 and older. The data was collected using the "Patient Information Form" created by the researchers and the "Newcastle Nursing Satisfaction Scale", the "Patient Nursing Care Detection Scale (HHBAÖ)" used. The data assessment used percentage, average, t test, ANOVA, Karuskal Wallis test, Mann-Whitney U test and Pearson's Correlation analysis. This study was supported by the "Ege University Scientific Research Projects (BAP) Coordination Unit". Project number: TLP-2019-20440. Results: Patients in the surgical clinics were found with an average of nursing satisfaction score of 79.86±19.31 and nursing care perception score of 68.03±9.87. It was found that the patient’s satisfaction scale in Newcastle nursing was a statistically meaningful relationship between the total score average and the total score average in nursing scale (r= ,665; p= ,000). While there was no significant difference between gender, civil status, place of residence, social security and previous hospital experience and care satisfaction (p>0,05), there was a significant difference in terms of education and chronic condition of disease, the way to stay in the hospital, the number of patients in the room (p<0,05). The result: the patient’s high level of satisfaction in the field of nursing, the meaningful and high level of relationship between the perceptions of nursing and the levels of satisfaction in the field of nursing, the patient’s level of education increased and the perceptions of satisfaction decreased.
