3-6 Yaş Arası Çocukların Anksiyete Düzeylerine Göre Duygu Düzenlemelerinin İncelemesi

Abstract:

Duygular, denince bireylerin algılanan güçlüklere ve fırsatlara nasıl cevap verebileceğini etkileyen koordine edilmiş davranışsal, deneyimsel ve fizyolojik tepki eğilimlerini göstermektedir.  Duygu düzenlemesi ise, bireylerin amaçlarına ulaşabilmesi ve sosyal hayata uyum sağlayabilmesi için duygusal uyarımın başlatılması, sürdürülmesi ve yönetilmesidir. Çocukların kendini özgürce ifade edebilmesi ve duygularını düzenleme becerisi kazanmasında başta aile olmak üzere içinde bulunduğu çevrenin önem taşıdığı söylenebilir.  Çocuklar bazı problemler, korku ve kaygılar yaşayabilirler.  Bu çalışmada 3-6 yaş arası çocukların duygu düzenlemesi, ve anksiyete düzeyleri arasındaki etkileşimin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma 2018-2019 eğitim ve öğretim yılında Hatay ili Antakya, Kırıkhan, İskenderun ilçelerinde okul öncesi eğitim kurumlarına devam eden 207 kız, 195 erkek olmak üzere toplam 402 çocuğun ebeveynleri ve öğretmenlerinin katılımı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu araştırmada kullanılan veri toplama formu; Öğretmen Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Ebeveyn Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Bilgilendirilmiş Onam Formu, Duygu Düzenleme Ölçeği (DDÖ), Okul Öncesi Çocuklarda Anksiyete Ölçeği (OÖÇAÖ) olmak üzere toplam 5 bölümden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmanın verilerinin analizinde çocukların duygu düzenleme becerilerinin kaygı düzeyleri açısından farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığının incelenmesinde tek yönlü varyans analizinden faydalanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda çocukların; kaygı düzeyi düşük olan çocukların olumsuzluk düzeylerinin diğerlerine göre daha düşük olduğu; duygu düzenlemelerinin ise daha yüksek olduğu görülmektedir.

Emotions show coordinated behavioral, experiential and physiological reaction trends that influence how individuals can respond to perceived difficulties and opportunities.  Emotional regulation is the initiation, maintenance and management of emotional stimulation so that individuals can their goals and adapt to social life. It can be said that the ability of children to freely express themselves and to gain the ability to regulate their feelings is of importance for the environment in which they are primarily in the family.  Children may experience some problems, fear and anxiety.  This study aims to study the emotional regulation of children aged 3-6 years, and the interaction between the levels of anxiety. The research was carried out in the 2018-2019 educational and educational year with the participation of the parents and teachers of a total of 402 children, including 207 girls and 195 men, who are ongoing to pre-school educational institutions in the districts of Hatay, Antakya, Kırıkhan, Alexandria. The data collection form used in this study consists of a total of 5 sections, including Teacher's Personal Information Form, Parent's Personal Information Form, Informed Approval Form, Emotional Regulation Scale (DDO), Pre-School Child Anxiety Scale (OECD). In the analysis of the data of the study, one-way variance analysis was used in the study of whether children’s emotional regulation skills differ from the point of view of anxiety levels. The study found that children with a low level of anxiety had a lower negative level than others, and their emotional arrangements were higher.

Emotion regulation is the initiation, maintenance and management of emotional stimulation so that individuals can achieve their goals and adapt to social life. It can be said that the environment, especially the family, is important for children to express themselves freely and gain the ability to regulate their emotions. Children may experience some problems, fears and anxieties. In this study, it was intended to research the interaction between emotion regulation and anxiety levels behaviors of children aged 3-6 years. The study was conducted with the parents and teachers of a total of 402 children, 207 girls and 195 boys attending pre-school education institutions. This research was conducted pre-schools in Antakya, Kırıkhan and İskenderun districts of Hatay in the 2018-2019 academic years. In this research, the data were collected with 5 forms such as Personal Teacher Information Form, Personal Parental Information Form, Informed Consent Form, Emotion Regulation Scale (ERS), Anxiety Scale in Preschool Children (ASPC). In the analysis of the data of the research, one-way analysis of variance was used to analyze whether the emotion regulation skills of children differ in terms of anxiety levels. As a result of the research; negativity levels of children with low anxiety levels were lower than others whereas their emotion regulation level was higher.
