Abstract:

Osteoma box is a soft tissue ossification that is rarely seen on the skin. Radiographically, it is observed in the form of well-limited, donut-like radiopaths. It often occurs as a result of prolonged acne, scratch or chronic inflammatory dermatous. In women, many of the injuries often occur in the face area are called 'multiple milier osteoma box'. In this case report, the clinical and radiographic findings of the case of 'multiple millaire osteoma box' which is bilaterally monitored in a female patient's neck area were evaluated. A sixteen-two-year-old woman appealed to our patient clinic for dental complaints. In the extraoral examination, in the face area, in 1-2 mm sizes, commonly brown-yellow macular lesions and on the left side of the face a bright, about 4-5 mm size, clear brown nevus was observed. In the periodic radiographic image in the soft tissue area of the left edge, a large number of, millimeter-sized, well-limited radiopaths were observed. From the bilateral side area, periodic radiographic images were obtained by decreasing the radiation time to half, and a large number of small radiopaths were observed. On the basis of clinical and radiographic findings, the 'multiple millennial osteoma box' was diagnosed. Because there was no aesthetic complaint, no treatment was given to the patient, information was given and followed. Multiple millions of osteoma can be associated with a variety of diseases. Dentists should be aware of this rare disease and, if necessary, guide their patients for treatment through medical consultation.
