Abstract:

From the ancient epochs of history, man has hit nature with the hope of protecting himself from ifrites, nazis, diseases and catastrophes that may happen to him. For these purposes, the wreck, which was widely used in rituals in the ancient times, was also presented to the gods as a sacrifice and sacrifice. In addition to the temples, the dust powder used in many places, small particles or bars, is produced in different sizes and shapes, and its varieties are spread. It was also taken as gifts and taxes, as it was presented as gifts by kings in ancient times. The increase in demand has also led to the spread of trade. The development of the house has been effective in the spread of the thick trade. The increase in the demand for dust has also made it possible to produce dust containers in various forms from different materials. So, in the Old Önasya, the trade of frogs, along with frogs, has also spread. The beautiful smell of it has attracted mankind since ancient times. The straw used to eliminate bad odors in different places has also been an important part of the funeral ceremonies. It was also used to communicate with the gods in ancient pre-Nazi communities. The ancient communities, believing that gods communicate with people through fal or dreams, have predicted by studying the forms of the smoke of the burning straw. The areas where the trade of the thumb used for different purposes was developed shortly. In ancient times, the butter used by many communities continues to be used for different purposes by today’s Anadolu society. We will evaluate the use and reflection to our culture in the ancient Pre-Nazi communities in the light of narrow-written documents and archaeological findings, which is a very wide scope of use in this study.

Abstract:

Humankind has resorted to the nature hoping to be protected from ifrits, evil eye, diseases and possible disasters that they may experience since the ancient times of history. Incense that was widely used in rituals in ancient times for these purposes, was also offered to the gods as a sacrifice. Incense that is used in so many places as well as temples, is produced as powder, small particles or sticks in different sizes and shapes and its varieties have became widespread. Moreover, it was presented as a gift by kings in ancient times and also received as a tribute and tax. Increasing demand for incense has also enabled its trade to be widespread. Domestication of camel became effective in spread of incense trade. Increasing demand for incense has also enabled production of incense cups from different materials and in various shapes. Thus, incense cup trade has become widespread as well as incense trade in Ancient Near East. Especially fragrance of incense has attracted humankind since the ancient times. Incense that is used in order to get rid of bad odors in different places, has also become an important part of funerals. The ritual of burning incense is also used for communicating with gods in Ancient Asia Minor Societies. Ancient societies who believed that gods communicated with humans through fortune telling or dreams observed shapes of the smoke of burning incense and prophesied. The regions where incense that is used for different purposes is traded has also developed in a short time. Incense that was used by many societies in ancient times is still being used by Anatolian society for different purposes today. In this study, we will evaluate the use of incense that has a very wide usage area, in the ancient Asia Minor societies and its reflections on our culture in the light of cuneiform documents and archaeological findings.
