Abstract:

The aim of this study is to examine Covid 19 phobia, life satisfaction and attitudes towards sports in employees working in commercial enterprises. Commercial enterprises operating in the furniture bazaar in Serdivan district of Adapazarı province were visited separately and informed about the research. After providing information about the research, a total of 145 employees over the age of 18 who voluntarily wanted to participate in the research, prepared in the light of the literature, the 25-question information questionnaire and the 7-question questionnaire developed by Ahorsu vd. (2020) and adapted to Turkey by Satıcı vd. (2020), Kovid 19 phobia, Şentürk (2015) and the 25-item Attitude Towards Sport Scale developed by Diener vd. (1985) and adapted to Turkish by Köker (1991) were applied. When the data obtained were analyzed in the SPSS 25.00 package program, t-test, one of the parametric tests used for independent groups, was used for pairwise cluster comparisons, and analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used for comparisons of more than two groups. clusters. As a result of the analyses, it was seen that there was a significant difference in favor of those working in commercial enterprises, interested in sports, living with sports and active sports life sub-dimension scores. When analyzed in terms of the type of hobby you participate in leisure time; It was observed that the average scores of the attitude towards sports sub-dimension scores of people who participated in sports were higher than those who participated in other activities. It was determined that those who did sports 3 days or more a week before the pandemic process had higher attitudes towards sports than those who did not do sports. It was observed that practicing sports professionally was important in the sub-dimensions of living with sports and active sports life, and the life satisfaction scores of those who stayed with their friends during the pandemic process were lower than the other groups. When the total mean scores of Covid-19 phobia were analyzed, it was determined that there was no significant difference in terms of variables.
