Abstract:

First, the perception management, used consciously and systematically by the U.S. Department of Defense and also conceptualized in the 20th century, is even ahead of the 21st century, called the age of technology and the information society. Today, people's easy and fast access to information is causing information pollution in the same proportion, which makes the perceptions influenced by many factors open to external interventions. As a result, perceptions can be easily directed, mass movements can be created, and social events can be easily controlled. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk has often used the newly conceptualized perception management during the National Struggle period. It has created perceptions at individual, national and international levels, encouraging the individual, the nation, and the nations to take the path to which they are targeted. Ataturk forced all the possibilities first as a soldier, then as a revolutionary state man, to bring his country and his nation to the level of civic nations. In this study; defining the concept of perception, the perception process, the factors affecting the perception and the perception management axis of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's individual, social and international perception management has been placed in the historic background.
