Abstract:

The effectiveness and efficiency that enables the organization to its objectives has an important place for the continuation of the organization’s activities. Human factor constitutes a separate importance between entries of organizations and constitutes the largest competitive power of organizations. In today’s conditions, along with the increasingly globalized world economy, in increasing competition conditions, psychological capital, organizational citizenship behavior, and individual-organic harmony, which contributes to organizations’ successfullyining their assets, have been observed to lead to positive results and behaviors in research in different sectors and with different variables. This study was carried out to identify the impact of psychological capital on organizational citizenship behavior and the mediation role of individual-organic harmony between these two variables. The sample of the study was made by 575 participants working in the public institutions in Ankara. The survey form was personally distributed to public officials and also sent by mail and through the online survey system. Structural equality modeling has been used on the obtained data with frequency analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis and verifying factor analysis. The research finds that psychological capital is positively related to the person-organism consistency and organizational citizenship behavior. However, the main hypothesis of the research, in the relationship between psychological capital and organizational citizenship behavior, the mediation role of person-organism harmony has been supported. It is believed that the research will contribute to the literary work and will give opinions to both researchers and practitioners about the psychological capital, organizational citizenship behavior and the level of individual-organizational conformity.
