Mecmualar Türk edebiyat, kültür ve tarihi açısından birer hazine olarak değerlendirebileceğimiz içinde çeşitli dualar, yazışmalar, ilaç tarifleri, şiirler, notlar ve tarihi bilgilerin olduğu kitaplardır. Şiir mecmuaları, muhtelif şairlerin beğenilen şiirlerinin derlendiği antolojik metinlerdir. Şiir mecmuaları derlendikleri dönemin edebi beğenisini aksettirmenin yanında edebiyat tarihi açısından ihtiva ettikleri bilgilerle önem taşırlar. Majmua’s (collection of poetries) are very important manuscript books in terms of Turkish literature, culture and history. Lots of majmuas are in manuscript form and contain poems, historical notes, various kowledge about everything. Some majmuas only contain selected poems and resemble antology books of today. Collection of poetries, are important not only in terms of the fact that they reflect the literary discrimination of the time they written but also they give some information about literary history.
