Abstract:

Many school aged children have experienced the cruelty of traditional bullying Due to their sophisticated use of technology a new variation of bullying cyberbullying has transformed from the physical to the virtual Cyberbullying is the newest form of bullying and it brings additional challenges for school personnel This article provides an overview of cyberbullying differentiates between bullying and cyberbullying provides a psychological explanation of cyberbullying behaviors and the psychological impact of cyberbullying prevalance and demographic variables such as age and gender of cyberbullying The review of literature suggest that parental mediation and preventative intervention at the school create and maintain awareness and safety for young people Key words: cyberbullying electronic bullyng online bully internet harrashment
