Abstract The aim of this study is to get primary school teachers' views about the assessment processes of primary education curriculums. The study design is descriptive research model. The data was collected via puplic surveys. The sample of the study is composed of 511 primary school teachers working in 45 different schools in the city center, in towns and in villages in 2006-2007 education season. In the data analysis the data, frequency and percent analysis techniques and t-test analysis techniques were used. The results of the study show that primary school teachers think positive about the assessment processes at primary education curriculums, but they encounter some problems. The biggest problems arised in the process of assessment are crowded classes, economic difficulties, material difficulties and difficulty in having a contact with parents. To consider teachers' concepts and their demands will contribute to evaluation process in practice. Keywords: Primary school teacher, primary education curriculum, assessment
