Abstract:

Firstly, in the introduction of this article, has been contacted to Hasan Basri Çantay's sensitivity that he was called to everyone and his concrete effort that was revealed by him about orphanHasan Basri Çantay was a benevolent patriotic Islamic scholar and after the Liberation War he drew attention to care and protection of orphans and remain unclaimed, victims of war children of veterans and martyrIn the second part as the main theme article, the work (booklet) entitled “Müslümanlıkta Himâye-i Etfâl (Protection of Children in Islam)” that was written with sincerity and its all income was donated by Hasan Basri Çantay to the Turkish Association for Protection of Children. The work (booklet) in which specific topics handled under the headings of “martyr’s children”, “veteran’s children”, “warfare in disaster’s children”, “orphans”, “children”, “moral decency”, “children decency in Islam”, “the incomes of Turkish association for protection of children” has been evaluated in terms of Islamic law.
