The main purpose of this research is to determine the opinions of elementary school administrators about their reading habits. The population of this study, which is a descriptive research, consisted of school administrators employed as principals and vice-principals in elementary schools located in the central district of the province of Malatya. 141 administrators who voluntarily responded to the data collection instrument of this research formed the sample of the research. Data in the research were collected using the data collection instrument that consisted of two sections entitled “Personal Information Form” and Reading Habits of Elementary School Administrators”. It was determined 46.8% of elementary school administrators to be less reader type, 39% to be average reader type, and 14.2% to be most reader type. 56% of administrators indicated that they had not read any books or there was no book finished reading. Elementary school administrators also stated that the most important factors preventing them from reading enough were firstly 46.1% unable to find time, and secondly 24.8% inadequate reading habits.
