The power of intuition, as a source of knowledge, has an important role in thinking and creating processes in different disciplines of science and arts. Intuition, which a human being often experiences in his life and yet ignores, is only one of the mysterious aspects that a human being possesses. In the examination of literature in which intuition is used as a methodology in arts and art education, the insufficiency of studies made in this field in our country has been regarded as a problem. The research was conducted by general scanning model. For this reason the concept of intuition was studied in the context of art-artist- work of art. Besides this, the literature on intuitional thinking used as a method in the artistic creation process was scanned and the results achieved were interpreted and discussed. The power of intuition that each and every person can use as a key in his life, should be presented with both theoretical and practice- based studies by developing different systems of thinking apart from those familiar methods in the field of art
