Abstract:

The problems that the individual faces when taking its place in social life and the solutions provided to these problems at the micro and macro level are some cultural-independent (universal) while some are cultural-specific. It is necessary to make descriptions in terms of specific parameters to understand the problems of social services and the practices aimed at solving in different cultures. In this way, it will be a matter of understanding intercultural similarities and differences and the possibility of learning from other cultures. The aim of this study is to draw a general picture of the current problems in the field of social services in the United States (US) where the social service profession is performed through relatively more corporate and organized structures and the possibilities of solutions offered in the corporate context. In this context, the U.S. socio-demographic structure has been briefly evaluated in the light of current data. In the fields of social services, family, poverty, childhood and youth, aging, crime, disability, education and unemployment have again been addressed with current data. It has also been provided information on the basic programs offered by the government to address these problems. The study offers significant contributions in terms of drawing the overall profile of social services on the basis of the country.
