UZAKTAN EĞİTİM ORTAMLARINDA İLETİŞİMCİ BİÇİMLERİNİN SOSYAL BURADALIĞA ETKİSİ

Abstract:

Bu araştırmada uzaktan eğitim öğrencilerinin sahip oldukları iletişimci biçimlerinin sosyal buradalık algısı ile ilişkisini ortaya koymak amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2016-2017 eğitim öğretim yılında Trakya Üniversitesi’nde öğrenim gören 166 uzaktan eğitim öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma verileri, “Sosyal Buradalık (bulunuşluk) Ölçeği” ve “İletişimci Biçimleri Ölçeği” kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Ölçeklerden alınan verilerin normallik varsayımları kontrol edildikten sonra parametrik testlerden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularına göre katılımcıların sosyal buradalık ölçeği puan ortalaması yüksektir. Cinsiyet, yaş ve çalışma durumu değişkenlerinin sosyal buradalık üzerinde anlamlı bir etkisi yoktur. Cinsiyet değişkeni açısından bakıldığında tartışmacı iletişimci biçiminde erkekler lehine sözsüz iletişim kuran iletişimci biçiminde kadınlar lehine anlamlı fark bulunmuştur. Yaş ve çalışma durumunun iletişimci biçimleri üzerinde anlamlı bir etkisi yoktur. İletişimci biçimleri ile sosyal buradalık arasındaki ilişki için yapılan korelasyon analizine bakıldığında tartışmacı faktörü dışındaki tüm faktörlerin sosyal buradalık üzerinde pozitif yönlü anlamlı bir ilişkisi vardır. Regresyon analizi sonuçlarına göre “arkadaş canlısı”, “etki bırakan” ve “ilgili iletişimci” biçimlerine sahip kişilerin sosyal buradalık algısı yüksek, “tartışmacı” iletişimci biçimine sahip kişilerin sosyal buradalık algısı düşüktür.

The impact of communications in remote education environments on social environment

Abstract:

This study aims to reveal the relationship of the forms of communication that students of distance learning have with the perception of social burden. The research study group consists of 166 distance learning students studying at the University of Trakya in the 2016-2017 educational year. The research data has been collected using the "Social Resilience Scale" and the "Communicative Forms Scale". The normal assumptions of the data taken from the scales were tested after the parametric tests were used. According to the research findings, the social scale of the participants is high. The variables of gender, age and working status have no meaningful impact on social burden. In terms of gender mutation, a controversial form of communication has found a significant difference in the form of communication in favor of men and women. The age and work status have no meaningful impact on communication forms. In view of the correlation analysis for the relationship between communication forms and social burden, all factors except the controversial factor have a positive meaningful relationship on social burden. According to the results of the Regression Analysis, people with the forms of "friendly", "affecting" and "related communicator" have a high perception of social locality, people with the forms of "controversial" communication have a low perception of social locality.

The Effect Of Communication Styles To Social Presence In Distance Learning

In this research, it is aimed to reveal the relationship between the communication forms of distance education students and their perception of social environment. The study’s research group consists of 166 distance learning students, studying at Trakya University, in the 2016-2017 academic year. The research data was collected using the Social Presence Scale and the Communication Style Scale. After were checked assumptions of normality data from the scales, Parametric tests had been used.  According to the research findings, participant's point average on the social presence scale is high. Variables of gender, age, and working status have no significant impact on Social Presence. When looking from the perspective of gender variables, significant differences were found in favor of men in the form of argumentative communicators, and significant differences were found in favor of women in the form of nonverbal communicators. Age and working status have no significant impact on communication styles. when is examined the relationship between communicators styles and social presences, it might be said that all the factors except for argumentative factor, have a meaningful relationship on social presence. According to the results of regression analysis, people who are “friendly”, “having impact” and “relevant communicator” form have a high perception of social presence however people with “argumentative” form of communicator have a low perception of social presence.
