Çalışmanın amacı; ilköğretim 4.sınıf matematik dersinde akademik başarı, matematik dersine yönelik tutum ve öz yeterlik algısı arasındaki ilişki ile matematik dersine yönelik tutum ve öz yeterlik algısının akademik başarı üzerindeki etkisinin incelenmesidir. Korelasyonel bir çalışma özelliği taşıyan bu araştırmada veriler başarı testi, matematik dersine yönelik tutum ölçeği ve matematik öz yeterlik ölçeği kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Araştırma sonunda öğrencilerin matematik dersine yönelik tutum ve öz yeterlik algı düzeyleri yüksek seviyede, akademik başarı düzeyinin ise orta seviyede olduğu bulunmuştur. Öğrencilerin matematik dersinde göstermiş oldukları akademik başarı düzeyleri ve tutum düzeyleri arasında düşük seviyede bir ilişki olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Yine aynı şekilde öğrencilerin akademik başarı düzeyleri ve öz yeterlik algı düzeyleri arasında düşük seviyede bir ilişki saptanmıştır. Öğrencilerin öz yeterlik düzeyleriyle tutum düzeyleri arasında yüksek düzeyde anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmuştur. Ayrıca öğrencilerin tutum ve öz yeterlik düzeylerinin akademik başarı düzeyini etkilediği ortaya konmuştur.
The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between students' academic achievement, attitudes towards self-efficacy and self-efficacy perceptions in 4th grade mathematics and the effect of perceptions and self-efficacy on mathematics achievement on academic achievement. In this research which is a correlational study, data were collected by using achievement test, attitude scale towards mathematics course and mathematics self-efficacy scale. At the end of this research, Students' attitudes and self-efficacy levels were found to be high and academic achievement was moderate. It is concluded that there is a low level of relationship between the academic achievement levels and attitude levels of the students. Similarly, a low level relationship was found between the students' academic achievement levels and self-efficacy perception levels. A high level of meaningful relationship is found between the level of students’ self-efficiency and attitude levels. Besides, it is revealed that the levels of students' attitude and self-efficiency affects the academic success level.
