Abstract:

Analysis of the Social Justice Defense Measure (SASÖ) Factor
2019

Abstract:

The aim of this study is to adapt the Social Justice Defense Scale to the Turkish culture, which has been valid and reliable abroad. Despite the use in many studies of the "Social Justice Defense Scale", which was revealed by Dean (2009) consisting of 43 articles and four factors, it has been found that the scale has not been verifying Factor Analysis (DFA). For the validity of the measurement, the first translation work, the Kaiser Meyer Olkin (KMO) Test, the Barlett's Test and the Verifying Factor Analysis (DFA) were conducted to assess the validity of the structure. The reliability methods have been used by material statistics, test semi-setting and Cronbach Alpha Screenshot. The same sample was applied between four weeks to test the scale for time-involutory. The value of KMO. It was found that the Barlett value was 10539.5360 and p = 000. The result of the First Level DFA related to the SASÖ consisting of 43 matters and four subfactors, two matters have been removed from scale. The first and second level DFA results for SASÖ consisting of 41 matters and four subfactors were examined and found that the X2/Sd model conformity and the CFI, IFI, RMSEA, RMR, SRMR, PNFI and PGFI model conformity index were at a good level. The total correlation values of all substances are found above .30. The Cronbach Alpha value of the Cronbach Alpha is .94 and the Cronbach Alpha value of the lower dimensions is .74 to .94. The two semi-confidence ratio of the SASÖ is .89 and the lower dimensions are between .73-.90. It has been found that there is a positive linear relationship between the pre-test and final test measurements made in order to determine the variability of the SASO over time (r=.83; p=.000). As a result, it has been found that the SASÖ is valid and quite reliable, not showing any changes in time.

Corfirmatory Factor Analysis Of Social Justice Advocacy Scale (sjas)
2019
Author:
Abstract:

The aim of this study is to adapt the Social Justice Advocacy Scale, which has been validated and proved reliable abroad, to the Turkish culture. Although the Social Justice Advocacy Scale, which consists of 43 items and four factors, was used in many studies by Dean (2009), it was found that no confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was performed in the these studies. For the validity of the scale, it was first translated and for the evaluation of the structure validity, Kaiser Meyer Olkin (KMO) Test, Barlett's Test and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) were performed. Among the reliability tests, material statistics, test-half and Cronbach's alpha coefficients were used. In order to test the invariance of time, the scale was applied to the same sample at four weeks intervals. KMO value of .958; Barlett value was determined to be 10539.5360 and p=.000. Two items were excluded from the scale as a result of the first level CFA concerning SJAS which consists of 43 items and four sub-factors. When results of 41 items and four sub-factors were examined, it was found that X2/Sd, CFI, IFI, RMSEA, RMR, SRMR, PNFI and PGFI model fit indices were in good level. The item-scale total correlation values of all items were above .30. The Cronbach's alpha value of the SJAS was .94 and the Cronbach's alpha of the sub-dimensions ranged from .74 to .94. The SJAS has a semi-reliability coefficient of .89, with sub-dimensions ranging from .73 to .90. A positive directional linear relationship was found between pre-test and post-test measurements to determine the invariance of SJAS (r =.83; p=.000). As a result, it was determined that SJAS was valid and highly reliable and did not show any change in time.
