Abstract:

This study aimed at developing a measurement tool with the necessary psychometric characteristics that will allow teachers candidates to identify their attitudes towards learning.  In the study, a scale form of 44 subjects was created, reorganized according to the expert opinion of the materials prepared in accordance with the literary scan and student opinions. The organized form of the Gazi University of Gazi Education Faculty was applied to a total of 280 students who studied in different departments, including 180 women and 100 men, in the spring period of the 2016-2017 academic year in different teaching programs. The data obtained in relation to structural validity was conducted by the AFA and the Verifying Factor Analysis (DFA). As a result of the opening factor analysis, it was observed that the scale was in a three-factor structure. The Cronbach Alfa internal consistency ratio for the scale is 0.94, I. for the sub-factor .92, II.alt for the factor .86, III. It is identified as .84 for the subfactor. As a result of the verifying factor analysis, the conformity values for the model were identified; RMSEA, .068; χ2/df=1.9; SRMR=76; NFI=.94; NNFI=.97; IFI=97; CFI=.97; RFI=4. The verifying factor analysis observed that the values obtained as a result were within the acceptable reference range.           According to the result, it can be said that the attitude scale towards learning has the necessary psychometric properties.
